Dein Ansatz ist richtig. :) Am Ende hast du dann aber nur eine Unbekannte.
\( f_a(x)=\frac{1}{4}(x^4-ax^2)=\frac{1}{4}x^4-\frac{1}{4}ax^2 \)
\( f'_a(x)=x^3-\frac{1}{2}ax\)
\(f''_a(x) = 3x^2-\frac{1}{2}a = 0 => x^2=\frac{1}{6}a =>x=\sqrt{\frac{1}{6}a}\)
\(\sqrt{\frac{1}{6}a} =1\)
Jetzt muss nur noch nach a aufgelöst werden.

Durch das Umstellen weißt du ja bereits, dass x = (a/6)^(1/2). Und mit x = 1 weißt du dann auch x = (a/6)^(1/2)=1 und damit insbesondere (a/6)^(1/2)=1.
